Celebrating Diwali, the festival of lights, in traditional Indian attire!
A bit about me!
-
Born and raised in Maryland, I loved all things creative. My childhood career goals included author, architect, and at times, even fashion designer.
-
I went to the University of Maryland, College Park (Go Terps!), where I majored in Business Information Systems and Supply Chain Management. I was also part of the Entrepreneurship and Innovation honors program, where I was first exposed to design thinking, prototyping, and the world of design and innovation.
-
I started my career in the government consulting industry, where I had the opportunity to take on various roles such as Scrum Master, developer, database manager, and deputy project manager for a number of different government agencies. My favorite part across all my roles was understanding user insights to translate them into requirements and being able to work with cross-functional team members to create great user experiences.
Aside from my day job, I decided to also start freelance writing and design as a passion project! To date, I have worked with seven clients to complete 15 projects, including blog articles, website copy, and presentation design.

My freelancing experiment was a success and I decided to gain the academic experience and skills necessary to make a more creative career a reality. I am currently pursuing a dual MBA + MS Design Innovation at the Northwestern University Kellogg School of Management, where I am taking coursework in human-centered design, customer ethnographic research, and prototyping.
In my free time, I love to spend time with animals (whether that’s volunteering at animal shelters, petsitting for friends, or walking the neighborhood dogs), play volleyball, work on creative projects, and explore the world!
Working to get homeless animals into loving homes at one of the many adoption events I have volunteered at.
My recreational volleyball league! I loved playing on the National Mall in Washington, DC.
A foggy view of Crater Lake in Oregon, USA after a long hike.
Biking in Yosemite National Park, California, USA.
